Located in a noucentista building listed as a monument and architectural landmark in the area, the hotel has been carefully restored, respecting its original structure and recovering historical elements such as cornices, balustrades, ceramics and delicate ironwork.

History
Casa Peya was built in 1930 at the request of Catalina Jordi Jofra, who had it built on a plot of land she owned. Catalina belonged to a family of landowners and merchants, and was married to the doctor Ernest Peya Miró.
The project was the work of the architect Pelayo Martínez Paricio, a native of Figueres and an outstanding member of the second generation of the noucentista movement. Renowned for his work in Alt and Baix Empordà, as well as in Barcelona, he was also the founder in La Bisbal of a ceramic industry specialising in architectural ornamentation.
Casa Peya is today one of the most representative buildings of Modernisme and Noucentisme in Palafrugell, and is a valuable testimony to the economic development of the period, driven by trade with America and the cork industry.
